EB3A in UPS mode turns off AC output shortly

I’m not sure if it’s okay to add my experience to this thread, or to create a new one, so forgive me for adding on!
I just purchased an EB3A from Amazon.

I’ve been using my EB3A as a UPS since I bought it, but it shut AC Power off after about 6 hours yesterday. It was on ECO mode, so I turned off ECO mode. Unfortunately, it shut off AC Power again sometime overnight. I had it connected to my home internet router and NAS, and was drawing about 74W continuously.

I don’t know if the new firmware update will fix the shutting-down problem, but I thought I’d let @BLUETTI_CARE know about it.

@BLUETTI_CARE
I have the same issue with my EB3A, purchased from Amazon. The first one worked as expected, then started randomly restarting the AC power while in use.
Serial: EB3A2337002662263
ARM: v2057.11
DSP: v2056.14

The 2nd unit has started turning off the AC power showing “Overload” even though it is only powering 2 security cameras, drawing a total of 10-12W.
Serial: EB3A2337002561884
ARM: v2057.11
DSP: v2056.14

The app does not show any firmware updates available for either unit.

Also, is there any way to limit the battery charge to 80% or 85% to extend the battery life when using it in UPS mode?

We don’t believe that limiting the charge to around 85% has a significant impact on extending the battery life. We do not support this feature.
However, when developing new products in the future, we may include options that allow customers to set their own charge limits and other customizable settings.

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE I have the same issue on my unit, AC switching off, killing my PC’. my current firmware is showing ARM V2063.03 / DSP2052.11.
Serial: EB3A2310011617123
Can you please push the new firmware to me also?

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE

I have the similar issue on my unit. The UPS function doesn’t work. AC switches off at 100% charge and turns back on at around 1-2 sec. Also, the unit shuts off at 41 percent charge

I have been experiencing the same issue, when it is plugged into ac and I have the AC (output) plugged into a device, it stops working and overload display comes on. My serial number is EB3A2238130223976

Hi @cwal123, We really want to assist you, but before pushing the new firmware, we need to know the current firmware version of your EB3A.
You can find this information on the Firmware Upgrade page in the Bluetti app.

I have attached a screenshot for your reference.

My firmware is as follows:

ARM v2062.03
DSP v2056.13

Was there any other information you needed other than this:

Thanks, I got the upgrade and got it installed, I ran it down to 1% and then plugged it into AC, turned on the AC output and plugged that in to a computer, I also turned on the DC and plugged into a iPad. Normally this would have resulted in the overload coming on, but it worked perfectly. Thanks for your help and I will let you know if something changes.
