AC180P turns off randomly

Hello everyone, for customers who have already provided the SN code and DSP version number, I have requested the new DSP v2088.04 to be pushed. This will be completed within 24 hours. Please upgrade the firmware tomorrow and test if the issue is resolved.

Hi @f45 and @VSM , The conditions for the fan to turn on depend not only on the ambient temperature but also on the internal cell temperature after operation. If the machine heats up internally, the fan will automatically turn on to dissipate heat.
Regarding the noise issue of the fan, I have reported it to the R&D department to address it. However, we are concerned that turning off the fan could lead to overheating and affect performance.

When the AC180P loads a small AC device, the screen may not display, which is normal. This is because the power is too low for accurate sampling. If the display functions normally when connected to a high-power device, it indicates that the machine is working correctly.

I also forgot to say that the input is not displayed correctly now. The station outputs, for example, 500 watts, and writes 410 to the input.

Hi!
I don’t have issues with the fans working to dissipate heat. But it is an issue if the fans turn on the high speed and never turn off or slow down when loading a small device until I turn on a “bigger device”.
The fans slow down instantly to the minimum speed like it’s a charge in the silent mode only when I get over ~100W+ of load. Cells cannot overheat from such small loads in a room without direct sunlight.
Also, I think this “bug” triggers when DC ports are turned off. I had DC and AC ports turned on while powering small devices 2 nights in a row and the station didn’t wake me up. But I’m not 100% sure and don’t quote me on that.

I have the same problem as VSM mentioned.
If AC is turned on and I’m using some device that consumes 50-150 watts of power, fans are working but in silent mode.
But if for example I will have only DC turned on, then will plug usb-c charging cable to the usb-c charging port in order to charge my macbook station will consume around 80 watts. Then in 15-20 minutes fans are starting working on maximum. Reproduced it few times already. So the problem is connected with DC.

That is interesting and we’re getting somewhere. I never used USB-C so I can’t confirm, but my theory is: fans go crazy after a while if either DC or AC is loaded <100 watts.
