Problem with New AC180P

Advanced Settings > Factory Reset

Thanks a lot @BLUETTI_CARE ! It worked entire night as an UPS without outages. Everything works like a charm!

Hi @Golosay, Thank you for letting us know, I am glad to hear that the problem is resolved!

  1. Пожалуйста, разрядите все питание (заряжайте приборы переменного и постоянного тока с помощью зарядной станции, пока она не разрядится и не выключится автоматически);

Yep, issue fixed. Thanks a lot!

Hi @NickStark, Thank you for sharing this good news, I am glad to hear that!

I have only been using this two days and I am also having this problem and it is a nightmare! it is behaving exactly the opposite way we expect this machine to work. We literally buy these machines to NOT lose power! Not only am I having the same issues at 100% as everyone above but also when I unplug the machine either on the unit or on the wall it immediately goes dead, not working on battery at all!
My SN is AC1802436003079382 and my DSP is v2078.06

@BLUETTI_CARE, hello!
Recently became a happy owner of AC180p.
Please tell me how to downgrade the firmware in AC180p to the firmware that does not have a password for bluetooth? I need this for remote monitoring of the station in Homeassistant. Bluetooth security does not matter to me.
Now:
IOT v9046.01,
ARM v2125.03,
DSP v2126.03,
BMS V1048.05.
Thank you very much!

Hi @PPG, Thank you for your attention to Bluetti.
We believe there’s no need to downgrade the firmware since the Bluetooth password feature can be disabled.
As long as you don’t set a password, there’s no need to enter one.
If you’ve already set a password, simply go to the settings and click “Disable” to turn off this feature. It won’t affect usage in any way.
I hope it does help.

@BLUETTI_CARE Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, the lack of a password does not allow Homeassistant integration to see the device status.
As far as I understand, the new firmware uses encryption, and the old one does not.
Therefore, on the new firmware with encryption, the community cannot integrate 180p and others into HA.
On the old firmware without a password, the integration into HA works great. Therefore, I ask you to help me downgrade the firmware version with bluetooth without a password.
It would be great if HA had a basic integration from you!

Hi @PPG, please tell us your AC180P’s SN number, and then we will help you downgrade the firmware.

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE . SN 2438000641876.

is this what is needed?
Or AC180P2438000641876

Hi @PPG, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
The entire SN number is AC180P2438000641876.
Now I have applied to downgrade the firmware for you.
Our IT department will push the corresponding firmware to your unit in 24 hours. Please upgrade it tomorrow.
Please do not load any device when upgrading it.
Please let us know if it works.

Hi @PPG, Our IT department informed us that you have not upgraded yet, and therefore, downgrading is not possible.
Additionally, the Bluetooth password is hardware-related and cannot be disabled through a firmware downgrade.
The only solution is do not setting a password, which should not affect the use of your HA system.

Hello @BLUETTI_CARE - I too am having problems integrating my AC180 into Home Assistant due to the encryption on the Bluetooth connection. I have seen this post and went looking for the option to disable the Bluetooth Password, but the only option I see is to set a new password. Leaving the password field blank does not pass validation, which requires at least 6 characters for the password. Is there a different way to disable the BT encryption?

Thanks!

Hi @jdwannam, For this issue, please log into the Bluetti app, go to settings, and then to the Bluetooth connection password page.
Select “No Password” so that you don’t need a password for verification.
I hope it does help.

Hi, I am facing the same issue with a new AC180 and i just wondered if you were able to find a resolution. From my research the HA Bluetooth integration and the MQTT Add On will fail to work due to the new BT encryption. Maybe someone will find a workaround or Bluetti may come to their senses and find a way for 3rd party access…
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Unfortunately no, I tried setting and then deleting the password in the app, I’ve also tried just unbinding the unit from my app but it still does not show any data within home assistant.

Thanks for your reply… hopefully there may be an update one day that will help HA users.
