I fully charged the device to 100% and then waited two hours before disconnecting it. I noticed something unusual during charging: after reaching 99%, it took over an hour to reach the final 100%, even though the power input remained above 100W.
Following this, I connected my laptop to the device and allowed it to run until the battery was completely depleted and shut down at 0%. After letting it rest for a couple of hours, I plugged the device back into the power grid. It then turned on and indicated a 47% charge.
Hi Paul, Thank you for providing the detailed information. We believe the new firmware will be helpful.
Now I have applied to upgrade your system to our IT department. They will push the latest version of firmware to your unit in 24 hours.
Please upgrade the firmware tomorrow. Please do not load any device when upgrading it.
Please let us know if it works.
We suggest that you try recalibrating after upgrading the firmware. Hopefully, this will solve the problem.
I seem to be having the same exact problem that Pcevalloswu is having above as well, where my EB3A will often fully shut down (non-responsive panel or buttons on unit) around 50% and cannot be powered back on until it is plugged back into AC power. I performed the same testing and saw the same symptom of my EB3A taking above an hour to go from the final 99% to 100% as well. Could you push this firmware update to my unit?
Here’s my EB3A’s info:

Hi @Brub3, Have you confirmed that the ECO mode is turned off? Did recalibrating the EB3A work?
We aren’t entirely sure if this issue can be resolved by upgrading the firmware, but we’ve already submitted your request to the technical team. If feasible, they will push the update within 2 working days. Please retest the device after the upgrade.
Hi @_kenavo, We have also applied for a firmware upgrade for you, and the technical team will complete it within 2 working days. Please upgrade and test the device at that time. We hope this helps.
EB3A dies at 70 something %. Then recharge via solar back to ~100 but outputs won’t turn on. App won’t allow to power off as states need to disconnect PV then wait 10s. If I disconnect solar the unit goes black.
Tried charging via 120 and same issue unresponsive.
Hi @Ridonkulous, It seems that your EB3A has multiple issues, including charging problems and an inability to discharge. Could you confirm whether it still can’t discharge when connected to a power source?
We don’t believe that upgrading the firmware can fix all these issues. It is recommended that you directly contact customer service to arrange for a return and repair.
If you have any questions about how to reach the appropriate customer service team or concerns about the service process, please send us a private message with your order information so that we can arrange priority service for you.

By the way, please note that if you need my assistance, please @BLUETTI_CARE, otherwise, I might not see your message and be able to help you promptly.
Hi @Ridonkulous, Thank you for the update. We’re glad to hear that the EB3A is now back to normal.
It seems that excessive internal battery cell discharge might have caused the inability to charge and discharge via AC, and DC charging helped restore its functionality.
We will file your case for reference, which can assist us in helping other customers who encounter similar issues.
Thank you for sharing—your experience is extremely valuable!
Hi @BLUETTI_CARE. My EB3A is doing the same thing. It shuts down at 48-49% charge level. It won’t turn back on unless the AC charge cable is reconnected. Can you push a firmware update if that is what is required?
Thank You
John

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE. I have a similar issue, my EB3A cuts out at around 10% showing on the display. I have tried resetting with charge/discharge but the problem remains. As per John above could you push a upgrade if required.
Thank you in advance,
Drew.
Adding myself to the list with the same EB3A issue. Cuts out at 44% and I have tried charge/discharge suggestion but no joy. Please add me to the ‘push upgrade list’ as it seems that might be helpful.
P.S I also have an email into Bluetti Support on the same subject, #307538
Thanks,
Jay
