Hi @israelsato, If charging to 100% and then unplugging at 99% doesn’t resolve the issue, unfortunately, a firmware update may not be able to fix it.
We recommend contacting customer service to arrange for a replacement unit.
If you have any questions about how to find the platform’s customer service, please send me a message with your order number and email address so we can follow up on this matter.
@BLUETTI_CARE Same issue EB3A purchased July of 23 has been having problems. Sometimes it works and now its back to acting up. The only way to “wake it” is by plugging in AC power. It shuts off on its own after a minute or so. For a while it would keep providing UPS power through until it was unplugged. As soon as I plug in AC power I hear a click and then it powers on. Please help.

Hi @travisb, We’d like to confirm—when the EB3A is connected to AC power, does the SOC display 100%?
If so, we have a method that may help the EB3A resume normal operation. Please follow the steps below and let us know once completed.
The issue lies in the inaccurate SOC of the EB3A, which mistakenly believes it is 100% charged and therefore refuses to continue charging, while in reality, it is over-discharged.
Please plug the EB3A into the AC home grid and charge until it is 100%.
After that, please turn on the AC and DC outputs of the EB3A. After 30 minutes to 1 hour, the EB3A will drop from 100% to 99% due to self-consumption.
After the SOC of EB3A drops to 99%, please disconnect EB3A from the home grid to see if EB3A can be turned on normally. If so, please AC-charge the EB3A again.
Normally, the EB3A will work well after charging, and please tell us the EB3A’s SN number, DSP, and ARM version. We will push the new firmware to avoid this problem from happening again.
Are the details you asked for at the end of my post?
I tried. I plug it in. It reads 100 I turn on AC and DC. It shuts down after a few minutes.
Hi @travisb, Thank you for your update.
Now I have applied to upgrade your system to our IT department. They will push the latest version of firmware to your unit in 24 hours.
Please upgrade the firmware tomorrow. Please do not load any device when upgrading it.
Thank you it is responding again and charging. It dropped to 35% and acts normal now.

What can be done to prevent this from happening?
Hi @travisb, Thank you for the update. I’m glad to hear that it’s back to normal now.
We suggest that you perform a recalibration. After you have completed it, please use it regularly to avoid the recurrence of the problem.
Here are some suggestions for storing the unit.
- Never store the battery empty, even for only a few days. LiFePO4 batteries might be unrecoverable if stored empty.
- Storage temperature: 0-40℃. Don’t store the battery in a humid environment. Keep it away from fire as well.
- The optimal state of charge for long-term storage is 40%-60%.
- The battery will slowly self-discharge over time. The battery should be recharged every 3-6 months.
- Don’t store the battery on its side. Keep it up straight.
- Don’t stack things on top of the unit. Don’t block the fan.
