Charger 1 lights stay on after disconnecting from power bank

@BLUETTI_CARE i performed the update this morning. The green light still stays on, blinking slowly with nothing plugged into it. It also still defaults to charging unless I toggle it off after shutting my van off.

@BLUETTI_CARE mine also still stays on, the green light is still flashing 12 hours later.

Hi @mjday07, Could you please let us know the exact voltage of your car battery? We would like to further confirm this issue.

If the voltage is very low and the unit still cannot shut down, unfortunately, there might not be a better solution at the moment, and you may need to manually turn off the circuit breaker.

@BLUETTI_CARE the voltage varies. But right now its sat at 12.3v. If there isnt a fix unfortunately i will have to organise a return

Hi @darrenduds20, I am sorry for the inconvenience.
If you have any questions about how to reach the appropriate customer service team or concerns about the service process, please send us a private message with your order information so that we can arrange priority service for you.

Ill email uk customer service. I just can’t understand why you would design a unit that flattens the cars battery and doesn’t automaticallyturn off, every other dc to dc charger ive ever had will auto shutoff. Is it set to ever shut off ? @BLUETTI_CARE

@BLUETTI_CARE when the car is off it’s around 12.3. On it’s around 13.4 with the charger “off” even though it’s still showing 0.4v. What did the firmware you pushed even do because nothing changed on my end?

Hi @darrenduds20, currently, we don’t have any better solutions. We can’t set it as ever shut off, so manual operation is the only option at this time.
I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.

Hi @mjday07, Even when the power is disconnected, electrolytic capacitors may still have a small residual current due to the presence of the electrolyte, preventing the voltage from dropping to zero. This is why the voltage still shows 0.4V.

The firmware we pushed optimized the issue of repeated charging after shutdown. However, it seems that this hasn’t significantly helped your Charger 1. We don’t have any better solutions. We can’t set it as ever shut off, so manual operation is the only option at this time.
I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.

I have the same issue. Updated all firmware and the only way to prevent draining down the vehicle battery especially when parked a long period is flipping off the breaker.

Definitely not what was expected/promised. You need to stop shipping this product until this works properly because it’s a major part of functionality promised but not delivered.

This seems to still be an issue. I thought maybe a firmware update would fix this but I have had the C1 installed for a few days and noticed its still drawing a significant amount of volts/amps from my chassis battery.

How long after turning off the engine does it take for the C1 to only draw minimal from the chassis battery.

I need to try the firmware update intended to fix the Charger 1 “always on” indicator light without manual switching via the breaker. Charger 1 SN 12445000626565

Why in the world would a device be designed this way? Your pricy products seemed to be designed well. That this defect is not identifed in the misleading product documentation after customers complained at least months ago is quite disappointing. In fact, it seems less than honest and disrespectful.
Assuming that the firmware will not provide a fix, I respectfully ask that Bluetti company leadership provide a real solution and be responsible by immediately correcting your false advertising about automatic shutoff that misleads potential buyers.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi @glencaves, For this matter, we’ve already pushed the latest ARM firmware in bulk, so customers can directly upgrade to the newest version.

When we initially designed this product, it was mainly intended to be compatible with traditional vehicles. Compatibility with hybrid and smart vehicles cannot be fully guaranteed, and some preset features may not function as expected.

This is not considered a product defect. However, we understand your concerns regarding potentially misleading advertising, and we will forward your feedback to our sales manager. Thank you for your attention and suggestions.
