B230 discharging much faster than AC200Max

Hi @AHMC, After our testing, a SOC difference of around 10% is a normal phenomenon. Different batteries will discharge in turn to gradually reduce the SOC difference.

Hello @BLUETTI_CARE

Thank you for letting me know that a SOC difference of around 10% is okay!

I do have another observation that I am concerned about. When I am watching the screen that shows the individual CELL voltages (for either the AC200Max battery or the B230 expansion battery), I’ve noticed voltage differences by as much as 0.210 volts. See example picture below. A 0.210 volt difference seems excessive and, if I’m not mistaken, indicates cells that are very out of balance. Can you comment on this observation?

Hi AHMC, you’re welcome.
We consider this voltage difference to also be within the acceptable range.
Could you please test the voltage difference of the battery when it is fully charged and when it is at 0% power respectively? This will help us further analyze the battery status.

Hello @BLUETTI_CARE ,

I also see large differences in SOC between AC200Max and B230.
Serial number is 2240002130815
My current “versions”:

DSP: 4005.08
ARM: 4008.05
BMS: 1017.03
HMI: 6037.04

BMS1: 1011.09
BMS2: 0.00

Can I get firmware updated pls also?
Thanks.

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE could you please support?

Hi @DKl, thank you for getting in touch with us.
We have applied to upgrade your BMS. Our IT department will push the latest version of firmware to your machine within 24 hours. Please upgrade it tomorrow.
Please disconnect the B230 from the AC200MAX, and do not load any device when upgrading it.

After that, please recalibrate the system.
Please follow the steps below to recalibrate it:

  1. Please discharge all the power (charge AC & DC appliances with the power station) until the SOC is 0%, turn off the machine, and leave it for 3 hours till it cools down.
  2. Please charge it again. Please do not load any device when charging it, and do not interrupt it while it is charging.

You can click this link for reference.

Please let us know if it does help.

Everything works fine now. Thanks a lot

Hi @DKl, thank you for letting us know.
That’s great, we will let the engineers know.

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE,
I see also some B230 cell imbalance where one cell hits 3.6V while others stay at 3.37V.

I’ve done AC200Max+B230 recalibration(100-0-100%) and passive balancing(connected to the charger for 48 hours straight after 100% of charge), behaviour always the same.

Do you have B230 BMS update for such issue?
Could you please provide it?

My current B230 BMS is 1011.09.
My current AC200Max BMS is 1017.09.
My SN is 2240002130815.

Thanks in advance

Hi @DKl, your firmware is already up to date, so we cannot push other firmware versions.
We recommend charging the B230 separately. Besides AC charging, please also try DC charging—does this help?
We suggest you only connect the units in parallel when their battery levels are the same.
