Hey, everybody.
Today I updated both my AC300 to v4036.05.
Charging one AC300 with the other AC300 works again!
Hooray!
It’s only been a few minutes so no error reported yet.
If there are any, I’ll let you know right away.
Just for your info. I have the max.Grid input current set to 10A (230V).
I have the AC charging cable plugged directly into a power outlet and have no problem with the volts dropping.
When I used an extension cable (25m) that my AC300’s AC charging cable was plugged into, the volts dropped to 208V when charging (at 10A) and the AC300 reported a 008 error after about 10 seconds.
Despite all the problems so far, I love my two AC300s. It’s still a relatively new product so I’m giving it another chance. We just need to figure out why, in what settings and under what conditions, the EU version of the AC300 is getting the 008 error.
It is quite possible that the new software version (v4036.05) has already solved everything.
Let’s keep each other informed!
Franta.
to connect the AC500 to the B300 batteries you will need a P150D-P090D cable which is not yet available.
Hi Ingozilla,
is your 008 error reproducible? I realy don’t know when and why the 008 error appears.
I have to bring my ac300 to a dpd-shop, no picking up
I don’t want to get the same stupid video from the german service, so I’m hesitating.
Hey tonino
does the ac500 have a different battery connector than the AC300?
according to the description, the AC500 should work with both the B300 and B300s batteries ?!
Hi, Ingozilla.
AC500 and B300S have different (larger) connectors than AC300 and B300.
If you want to connect AC500 to B300 (not B300S) batteries, you will need a special cable (adapter) to connect AC500 with B300 batteries.
Have a nice day.
Franta.
as said by @Franta and me, you need an adapter to connect AC500 to B300 batteries which is not yet for sale which is P150D-P090D
5 days and still no errors. Seems the update (v4036.05) solved my 008-error problems
@tobias77
It seems that i can confirm that. 24hours with no 008 OCP problem in EU 230V Version so far.
I have the new firmware and external generator not charging issue and 008 seems to be resolved.
Well, that’s good news. I have both AC300 units running without a single problem so far after installing the new software!
@Franta, Ive had the exact same issues on my AC300 after using it for just under 4 weeks. My ac300 has 008 OCP error which won’t go away no matter what I try. I will have my fingers crossed and hope for firmware update that might solve this problem rather than returning it.
The P090D to P150D cable was available at eBay for about $100 each. I bought two of them for my future AC300 to AC500 conversion.
