Hello again @tripzero wondering if they ever fixed this timed mode logic to your knowledge? Trying to set up customized UPS with time of use to charge only 5p-1am but dont want it draining to zero during “peak” hours if my solar isnt adequate and SoC < low 20%.
Love to have your insight.
Yes. It works in a kind of grid ‘pass through’ mode when SoC < low. Be aware that your grid charge settings apply here. So if you set your charge current to 10A it will only pass through up to 10A. If your load goes over, then the battery can drop below the SoC Low setting.
The way I’m using mine is very similar to yours. I have solar during the day and time of use set up to charge at night. It keeps my computer powered 24/7 -even when I don’t have enough solar which is what I want.
Thamku @tripzero you’ve been really helpful— yes, it seems like I’m using mine in a very similar fashion to you and it sounds like we have the same generators as I have an AC200L and AC300. . I got the time settings up and running and it seems like it’s going to do the trick. I’d love to add you to my friend contact list and be able to discuss solar generators with you if you were willing. My text # is 508-560-3132. Cell or whatsap. If you’d rather not, please don’t take offense no worries at all you’ve been a great resource
