I’m having trouble getting my 3rd party pv array to export excess solar after both EP900 show 100% charge. How do I enable this? I have it AC coupled (grid side/main panel) to an Enphase IQ8A 8KW array with a max output of 5.8KW.
Ok, I think I have it figured out. If I
- Change working mode to Custom.
- Disable Time of Use
- Set SOC limits to 20%-94%.
- Turn on Charge from Grid.
- Turn on Feed to Grid (a value to ensure the 3rd Party PV array exports sufficiently to grid)
Then the ESS will charge from solar between 20-94%, then at 94% it will export ONLY PV? While maintaining the 94% SOC until PV is not longer sufficient for home consumption? Is this correct?
Please Note, My PV array is NEM 2.0, so I need it to export any excess generation, and only from the PV array. I’m waiting for PG&E to set an NGOM. I cannot have the ESS export any power to grid.
Also if you update the app in the future, If someone is in self consumption mode and grid connected, it should automatically send excess AC coupled PV to the grid, or at least have an option for this, as having a 3rd party array implies it already has an interconnection agreement.
