Bluetti EB3A shuts down when reaching 100% battery charge

I recently purchased a BLUETTI EB3A, and I’m experiencing an issue where the unit powers off by itself—even while at 100% charge, ECO Mode disabled, and under a light to moderate load.

Here are the troubleshooting steps I’ve already tried:

• Disabled ECO mode via AC + DC button press
• Ran the unit in UPS mode, plugged into wall power continuously
• Tested with various loads (gaming PC, monitor, LED fan, etc.)
• Performed a manual reset (held power button for 10 seconds)
• Verified battery was at 100% during shutdowns
• Performed the entire Battery Management System reset twice (fully drain, fully charge, leave for 15 mins, then replug) and still didn’t work
• Attempted firmware update via the app but app said unit is using latest firmware version.

Despite all of this, the EB3A still turns off by itself — even when idle or under load. It appears to be a firmware bug or possibly a faulty AC output inverter or internal protection circuit. Please see attached picture the display on the front panel when it reaches 100% battery charge. Thank you.

Has anyone figured out how to fix this issue?

Hi @Raffster

welcome to the bluetti community forum!

I found a thread that seemed to have the same issue. Does this help you?

Hi @Raffster, for this issue, we would like to try upgrading the firmware to fix it.
Please provide the SN number and current firmware version of your EB3A, and we will request the firmware push for you.
If the upgrade doesn’t resolve the issue, unfortunately, we may need to arrange for a repair.
Thanks to @Selfmadestrom for your help.

Hello @BLUETTI_CARE,

I am experiencing the exact same issue described in this thread. My EB3A randomly turns off the AC output which is enough to shut down my connected monitors and equipment.
Device Information:

  • Model: Bluetti EB3A
  • Serial Number: EB3A2516000776959
  • IOT: v9046.04
  • ARM: v2197.02
  • DSP: v2196.01

Could you please push the latest corrected firmware to my unit?

Thank you for your help.

please advise @BLUETTI_CARE , I have a brick. Bought it to be used as an UPS can`t rely on it. It shuts down AC outlet just a few minutes after powering on.

Hi @rafaelreisr, thank you for contacting us.
It seems the firmware push failed. Could you please provide a screenshot of your SN code?

We will verify your SN again and arrange another firmware push.

Hi I have the exact same problem that just started this week. My Bluetti EB3 shuts down the AC outlet at 100% every time it’s charging and it’s affecting my work on my laptop and monitors.

UODATE: Last night I tried to drain the battery as suggested to charge back to 100% but it shutdown at 30%. Everytime intry to drain it to 0% it keeps stopping at 30%. Any way, I recharged it back to 100% again and turned off the AC outlet again.

Please help by sending me a new firmware update please?
