Bluetti EB3A randomly shuts down in UPS mode

I bought this power station to supply power to my boiler pump. The pump’s power consumption is 60 W. Eco mode is disabled, but when the main power goes out, the station turns off and does not power the pump.

I need to fix this issue because my apartment will freeze. What should I do? What other information about the power station do you need me to provide, and where can I find it, so that you can send me an update that will help fix this issue? EBЗА2524000669402

@BLUETTI_CARE help me

Hi @arturlegencuk, we would like to help you.
May I have the current firmware version of your EB3A?
Then we will check if there is any new firmware available.

@BLUETTI_CARE I can’t check it now, but 2 weeks ago I installed the latest updates and yesterday there were no new updates, so I can say that now there is the most current firmware version

Hi @arturlegencuk, we have some new firmware that hasn’t been released for batch update yet. We need your current firmware version to push it to you individually.
Please provide your current firmware version at your convenience, and we will apply for the push for you.

Hello @BLUETTI_CARE,

I am experiencing the exact same issue described in this thread. My EB3A randomly turns off the AC output which is enough to shut down my connected monitors and equipment.

The issue occurs when:

  • The unit is connected to the grid
  • Battery SOC is at 99–100%
  • Load is well within the 600W limit
  • No error codes are displayed on the screen

Troubleshooting steps I have already completed:

  • Disabled ECO mode
  • Disabled Power Lifting mode
  • Switched from Silent to Standard charging mode
  • Verified AC frequency is set to 50Hz (matching Chile’s grid)

None of these steps resolved the issue. The AC output continues to drop randomly during the 99%→100% recharge cycle.

Device Information:

  • Model: Bluetti EB3A
  • Serial Number: EB3A2516000776959
  • IOT: v9046.04
  • ARM: v2197.02
  • DSP: v2196.01
  • Region: Chile (50Hz grid)

I have seen in this thread and on the firmware thread that Bluetti has developed targeted firmware updates to address this specific AC output shutdown issue in UPS mode. Could you please push the latest corrected firmware to my unit?

Thank you for your help.

Hello @orhan ,

Thank you for your patience and for providing such detailed information.

We have successfully pushed the latest ARM firmware (v2197.03) to your unit . Please update the firmware via the BLUETTI app and let us know if the issue persists.

I’ve updated now. I am testing again with Grid connected in UPS mode while AC is ON and my monitor connected to the Bluetti EB3A. I’ll see if it is going to shutdown the AC again while battery is going from 99% to 100% or not and write here back.

For my 1 hour test, it looks like the issue is fixed with the ARM firmware (v2197.03) update for my device. What I mean is that the battery is charged from 99% to 100% and stay on 100% for about now 20 mins on UPS mode and AC is ON - AC is not shutdown now. I’ll be testing and monitoring for a couple of days and write back here. So far, thank you for your support on this.

This is the half of my 3rd day testing the latest ARM firmware (v2197.03) update with UPS mode ON, AC ON, connected to GRID. Now it started to shutdown or turn off briefly the AC while the battery is on 100% and then turning on the AC instantly in about 2 or 3 seconds automatically. My external monitors that connected to the Bluetti EB3A Turn OFF briefly and Turn ON again automatically in 2 or 3 seconds. This is a new strange behavior. The AC load is 80-85w, Grid load is from 80w on UPS mode synced with AC but when charging of course it goes up to 250w to 275w etc on Standard Mode.

Is this behavior normal on UPS Mode while the AC is ON with connected devices?

Hi @orhan, thank you for letting us know.
We would like to know whether the AC output button light and the AC icon on the screen both turn off at the same time when the issue occurs. It would be best if you could record a video, upload it to a cloud drive, and share the link with us. This will greatly help us analyze and troubleshoot the problem.

Hi,
No the AC output button light (green) is ON, AC is ON on the panel screen and also on the app screen at the same time when the issue is occuring. I’ll record a video today and send back ASAP.
Thank you

I’ve recorded a video of the problem: https://youtube.com/shorts/RX0bh0gIca0?feature=share

My external monitors connected to the power supply turn off; the INPUT and OUTPUT displays 0 watts on the EB3A’s screen while AC and UPS modes are enabled and connected to the mains. As you can see in the video, it turns back on after 2 or 3 seconds; the UPS and AC are still on, and now the INPUT and OUTPUT displays watts.

I hope this video helps you understand the problem; this makes the EB3A unusable for me, as it keeps turning off my connected devices like this, even with the battery at 100% in UPS + AC mode.

I look forward to your response.

Hi @orhan ,

The EB3A has a well documented known hardware design flaw with the UPS. TLDR - You can’t reliably use the UPS ever. I had an EB3A before donating it away and I could never reliably use the UPS function. I had to use a T200S adapter that goes into the PV input to reliably charge it and even then the unit gets hot fast due to poor thermal management. It’s a defective pile of junk. There’s a reason why Bluetti replaced it with the AC2A and later the Elite 30.

Hi @orhan, thank you for your update.
Yes, the video you provided clearly shows the issue. We have forwarded it to our technical team for analysis and problem reproduction. We will contact you once we have a definite reply.
I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.

I`m having the same issues as user @orhan posted originally,

Still haven`t received the firmware update. I requested it here Bluetti EB3A shuts down when reaching 100% battery charge - #7 by rafaelreisr

Hi @orhan , hope you’re having a great day!

We have pushed the latest firmware version DSP219602 to your device. Please check for the update and let us know if the issue has been resolved.

Thank you for your support and understanding!

Thank you! I have updated the device. I’m testing in the same conditions with the new update now. I’ll let you know if it is resolved or not.

Hi again, after the update I’ve tested the device it still have the issue shown on my video https://youtube.com/shorts/RX0bh0gIca0?feature=share The DSP update didn’t solve the issue. Unfortunately I am not able to use the EB3A reliable on my connected devices.

Unfortunately, even if they sent 2 different updates (1sth ARM firmware (v2197.03) and then 2nd DSP219602) to my device, the issue still continues. On the 1st update it somehow solved the “turning off issue of AC” but still even it AC is not OFF, the INPUT and OUTPUT watts show 0 and shutsdown the electric on AC on connected devices. For that I shoot the video to demonstrate. They then sent me DSP219602 update today. I installed it. The 2nd issue still not resolved. The issue continues as shown exactly as on the video. I am not able to use it on my devices if you can image while I am working the external screen connected to the EB3A’s AC shutsdown suddenly in 3 seconds later it comes back all the time on 100% battery with UPS ON, AC ON. So I am not able to use it, shut it off until they solve the issue. I hope they can…
