AC500 - Error 012 - Bus Voltage High - sometimes when starting angle grinder

AC500 + 4x B300S

Hello,

when I start my angle grinder in ca. 3 of 10 times there will be error 012: “bus voltage high”.

The angle grinder has 2200 W (230 V) and NO soft start (Makita GA9020).

Other consumers at the same time: little kitchen cooker (1000 W), fridge (60 W) using other plugs

Why is it impossible to “clear” the error?

Very tedious to disconnect AC and DC input and then to shut down the station …

Thanks for help!

Hi @digait, We’d like to know if you have connected the AC300 to a home distribution box. If so, please ensure you have added a Transfer Switch (Sub Panel) to isolate the machine’s AC output from the grid.
Alternatively, try disconnecting the distribution panel. Does the issue still occur?
Can you tell us your AC500’s SN code and firmware version?

No connection to any home distribution box.
I’m directly using one of the five 16A-outputs.

SN code: AC500230800097655

IOT v9041,06
ARM v4048,02
DSP v4047,06

Hi @digait, we have applied to upgrade your firmware to our IT department. They have pushed the new DSP v4047.31and ARM v4048.04 to your machine. Please upgrade them.
Please do not load any device when upgrading it.
Please let us know if it works to resolve your problem.

Thanks for your help!

Firmware update with success.

The problem seems to be solved: I started the angle grinder ca. 20-30 times
without any error message.

Great!
