Success! air conditioner started!

so i had been doing tons of research on all power stations out there and decided on getting a bluetti system. i was really scared to spend the amount of $ i was seeing and it took many months before i finally pulled the trigger. i ended up with buying an AC300, B300K and a 350 watt solar panel during prime days. almost immediately did i get worried because the AC300 shortly after showed discontinued. so then the waiting for shipping started. i checked the tracking regularly and eventually all three pieces showed up on my porch! so now it was time to get it up and running… first thing i did was to drain the battery fully and do a full charge that an email said i should do. i played with it a bit around the house plugging different things into the system until it was time to actually test the system for the reason i purchased it. my reason of purchase was to use it with our travel trailer and to have it run the air conditioner for long enough to cool the inside down so when we camped and there wasn’t shore power we wouldn’t overheat ourselves, i had made the decision if this system wouldn’t run the air i would return it and move on. well i am glad to say it started the air right up and had the trailer down to a comfortable level in only 20 minutes on a 85 degree day and only used about 20% of the battery! so obviously i will not return it! i am looking at different ways to charge it and looking at the charger 1 and a 30 amp charger with an rv plug so as to charge from a camp pedestal. i haven’t played with the solar much yet. anyway i am so far very pleased with the system and looking forward to using it with our trailer so we aren’t locked into camping only at spots that have electric! thank you Bluetti!

Hi Michael @ReadyToRetire , welcome to the forum  :beers:
Thank you very much for sharing your successful experience using the AC300+B300K to power the air conditioner! I would appreciate it if you could further share the relevant parameters of the air conditioner for our members’ reference. :sunny:

Hi @ReadyToRetire

welcome to the bluetti community forum! Thanks for your post! Wish you many great moments with you AC300 + B300K!

AC units are notoriously difficult to start due to the surge load at the start, which can be many times the required running current. Tell us what type of AC unit you have, what size is it? I am assuming it is a 120V unit. Does it have a soft start kit installed?

All I can tell you is that it is a 13,500 BTU RV air conditioner and I don’t have any idea if it has a soft start. If that requires a separate install then no it doesn’t. It’s on a 2022 Winnebago 2108FBS travel trailer
