Security, ground and short circuit

Hi, I’m new in this forum and I need some solve some technical doubts about security in Bluetti units:

-First, what about ground wiring in AC series? Are the units self-protected in some way and no need for external wiring of ground?

-What’s the protection when a short circuit happens?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Mobile units with a plastic shell don’t usually have typical grounding. What specific concern are you thinking of?

Note that the grounding conductors on the output plugs are not connected to grounded/neutral as it would prevent you from safely connecting the output to a transfer box to your breaker panel for home backup. As each set of circuit is only supposed to have a single bond between neutral and ground and that is normally done in the main panel.

When a short circuit happens on the output circuits, over current protection will kick in and shut off the output.

Hi @Pineapple,

Welcome to our community.
There is no ground wiring in the AC series. Pls don’t worry, with the ultra-stable LiFePO4 battery and the excellent Battery Management System (BMS), our units extend battery service life with protection of short-circuit / overvoltage / overload / overheating.
