How to stop auto re-charging from 99%, while in UPS bypass mode AC?

how to stop re-charhing while in UPS bypass mode AC?

Sorry. This can only be achieved by disconnecting the bypass mode.

how do you do that? I would think unplugging it would be the only option…but perhaps I need schooling as I am new and dumb.

@jerieri Yes, that’s right.

You can’t because the unit itself (called self-consumption) always consumes internal battery to keep the lights on, the AC inverter has a factor of losses, and the DC side only pulls from internal battery, so while the display may show a 1 to 1 ratio for “some time” eventually the SOC will drift to 99%. The unit will compensate by supplying additional power to make it 100% again. So say you are at 200W constant, and the unit self consumption is 5W. After a few hours it dips to 99%. The display will then show say “300 watts” to top off the last 1%. Completely normal and I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You should be mostly concerned about not exceeding your unit’s capability of continuous load. So if its 600W continuous, don’t exceed that. Remember its cumulative and not “each port can do 600W”. If you plug in 1 appliance to first AC port and it consumes 300 watts, you have 300 watts left, not 600.
