-I tested the UPS functionality of Elite 30 V2 using a long term high AC load of 600W, via a space heater. The unit was able to perform flawlessly without interruption (EB3A owners rejoice!)
-My real world solar input was around 10-15W higher than EB3A using same Bluetti PV200 panel. For example if I got 120W on EB3A through PV input, I was consistently getting around 132-135W on Elite 30 V2.
In order to utilize the 10A max PV input of Elite 30 V2 you must enable the PV Pro option in advanced settings
-Appliances tested: Iceco APL55 12V Dual Zone Fridge, Maxxair 4050K Deluxe Fan, Midea 22 Pint Dehumidifier, Dreo CF511 Fan, Surface Laptop (USB Type C), Dell Inspiron 3670 Desktop, and Laundry Alternative Spin Ninja 3200RPM dryer. All appliances except Midea dehumidifier worked without issue. Interestingly, my spin dryer (which is rated for continuous wattage of under 600 watts) will not adaquetely run on my EB3A. This is because the initial surge current required to begin spinning the drum exceeds the capability of the EB3A. Per Support, The Elite 30 V2 can handle a peak surge current of 17A, while the EB3A can only manage 12A henceforth why the E30V2 can run the spin dryer but EB3A cannot.
Issues
When attempting to run my compressor driven Midea dehumidifier the Elite 30 V2 does not reliably run the unit. The dehumidifier will shake violently upon startup. On my EB3A the dehumidifier runs without issue so both the inverter and surge capacity are within capable parameters.
Did you also test the different UPS modes?
I see the userguide confirms it has the 4 modes like the bigger siblings do - it’s pretty healthy for the batteries to have daily cycles, and prevent 100% charging:
And given the lower noise level, something tells me I’ll soon replace AC50B with EL30V2
The UPS and reviving of the DC barrel plugs for routers & network devices make it the “ultimate UPS” in my case (2 more Dell micro pcs added to the stack since the picture):
Demonstration of PV Priority Mode on Elite 30 with SOC set to 80%. I used my AC70 as the “GRID” power source and my Bluetti PV200 as the solar source. Video
Additionally I also demonstrated Standard UPS Mode (talking about how passthrough mode works and what to know) in this video.
My feedback to this would be, does the noise level of the other devices drown out the AC50B or is the AC50B the predominate noise source? Also, you would apply the inverse square rule to determine noise level the farther away you are from source. For example if the EB3A produces 45dB at 3 feet away, its only going be 34dB at 10 feet away.
Excellent, thanks the videos are really useful @sealy1986 .

It’s the only device we can hear, the others are very silent (<30dB).
AC2A, AC50B or AC70 are all quite noisy - and it’s not constant. On/off noise is quite tiring in an office.
Thank you for the detailed review, and the size comparisons which were really useful. This is a nice compact Bluetti that still has a good amount of power. I have an EB3A and have been looking around for something suitable as an upgrade. I like what I have seen of the Elite 30 so far.
Thanks @Tezzabee for positive feedback! The biggest upgrades I would say are (obviously) the wifi capability, the quietness, the reliability of the UPS over the EB3A, and something I think is a bit of an underdog, the reliability of the Bluetooth connection. The Elite 30 seems to be able to connect better at farther ranges while the EB3A struggles. Not to mention even when you are closer it sometimes doesn’t connect. The Elite 30 for whatever reason is better.
Could you let me know the surge power in watts please? The specs I can see on the Australian version show surge power as 1500w but don’t show power lifting at all , so I am wondering if that was a mistake / mix up. Thanks
