Having learned that the display accuracy of my EB70 can vary by c20%. +/-, can anyone suggest a small external control device to fit between my solar panels and the EB70 to reveal an accurate figure for the amount of charge at any time in the battery, and secondly to show the input charge? Thanks.

Have you tried to calibrate the machine?
First discharge the machine to 0%, then charge it to 100% with the AC port. During this time it needs to be charged continuously, not disconnected, and not with a loaded device.
We suggest you try this first and then see if the EB70 still has this problem.

I have indeed tried this and it does not improve the situation. The device continues to self discharge at a high rate. That apart, one question that I don’t recall getting 100% clarity on thus far, is confirmation that the device I have paid for is brand new and not reconditioned. I suspect/hope it is new, but reassurance would be appreciated. Thanks.
