EB55 and AC50b Charging issue

Hello!
I have an EB55 and an AC50b. Neither will take a charge from my Pecron 500w charger. I just figured they’d both work with it but limit the input on their own. Instead they just tell me the input is too high. I was hoping the AC50b would be able to do this with playing a bit with the app but no luck. Any options to make this work? I really don’t even need the full ~200w these units are supposed to take. But I bought the pecron knowing it will be good for me when I switch my camper kitchen to fully electric. The future plan is to charge a 200ah battery that’s hidden away and to tie that to my AC50b. Right now, I only boil water and run a heated blanket with it. But I’ll eventually be using it for more cooking demands and potentially a more powerful heat source.

Hi @Veganpotter, I looked into your Pecron 500W charger and found that it is compatible with car charging, and comes with an MC4 connector.

Have you tried using this charger for car charging your EB55 and AC50B, or for solar charging? Both our EB55 and AC50B already come with car charging and solar charging cables, so there’s no need to use additional charging cables.

Could you try charging directly with the provided cables and let us know if it helps?

Thanks for getting back to me! My Bluetti’s work as advertised for solar, AC and cigarette lighter charging. They don’t charge with the pecron and go into a self protect mode. I’m on a huge road trip now(took my dogs to the Arctic Circle in AK from Utah) and the Pecron is just dead weight in the car😅 Since there’s not much sun here, I’m largely relying on the cigarette lighter charging.
I just want the Pecron working because it’s so fast but I can’t even get a single watt with it

Hi @Veganpotter, We have reviewed your charger, the Pecron 500W car charger.

The maximum input for the EB55 and AC50B is 28V. However, your Pecron 500W car charger has an output voltage of up to 42V, which is too high and will definitely trigger an alarm, preventing charging. Additionally, the power output is excessive.

We strongly recommend using the original charger or another charger that meets the required specifications.
