I get the feeling the question, of Qi certified, will never be answered… I wonder why.

Sorry for the late reply.
Confirmed by the technical team: EB3A is not QI certified at the moment (the certification is currently in preparation)

Does that mean the problem can be fixed on an existing unit using an iPhone and installing an update?

I have the same problem on my model EB70s. It used to work. Now, nothing.
