Dual charging AC and Solar (e.g.EP500Pro)... who is the winner or what happens with current from both inputs?

Hi all,

question is not only limited to EP500Pro … for all dual charging using AC and solar, I wonder what happens first …?

Does the solar input will be used as long as solar delivers enough current and AC input is still waiting until solar input (volt) drops under a specific value? Or is the current from AC and solar simply added?

As per the EP 500 Pro manual you can set the UPS mode to PV priority to ensure you don’t waste solar energy when charging.

Thanks a lot - bxm6306 - for your reply. Did not know about PV priority mode as I don’t have an EP500Pro for now. Seems to me what I have searched for.
