I have a AC Max installed in a Sprinter Van that is hooked up to 450 watt solar panel. I was wanting to also charge while I was driving. I want to use a 500 watt power inverter that plugs into a cigarette lighter plug. Then plug the AC Max charger into that. Any suggestions?
I should work as long as you don’t have a cheap modified sine inverter that the charging brick will reject. You have to be careful using the typical cigarette lighter plug though, they are notorious for overheating and blowing fuses if you draw too much current from them. It’s possible that it will be too much load on that circuit, and it won’t work.
