I try to use 5 - 40 watts solar panels to charge AC200MAX without any results. No matter what I do, the unit just won’t respond. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can you check the VOC of your solar panel, if it is below 10V, it cannot charge AC200MAX.
Way too small of panels to charge with.
