Hey @SigiKa @TheQuickFox @bluetti_hwharwiggmailcom
Thanks for your input!
Since the warranty page is actual a website embedded into the App, you should try to update the system component “Android Web View” or similar. I was a long time android users and this component to have a lot of power regarding web apps.
If this doenst work, download chrome from the playstore and select “chrome” as Webview in the developer options.
Let me know if this helped you guys
greetings
Erik
@BLUETTI for now, I don’t see any new Version to Update, the latest Version of the App is 2.1.4 in the Play Store.
@Selfmadestrom there is no “Android Web View” or similar on my phone. Chrome is allready installed, but which developer option do you mean, where should it be? In chrome or in the Bluetti APP? Or should it be a Android option?
Hey @SigiKa
The App im talking about is this:
It should be pre installed on every Android Phone with google services. You can change from Webview to chrome in your Phones developer settings.
You should find it in a similar path like this: Settings → Developer Options → WebView Implementation.
greetings
Erik
PS: You need to manually activate developer Options by tapping multiple times on the build number
Hmm, now I have activated the Developer Options (they are really well hidden) and also found the WebView Implementation, but there is only the one option (allready active) Android System WebView and no option to use chrome instead.
No, I can’t. I’m dependent on Sony to release Android OS updates for my phone and they stopped doing that.
This version is not downloadable in the Google Play Store yet for me. 2.1.4 is the most current at the moment I write this.
I update this all the time. I’m currently on version 116.0.5845.172 updated on Sept 5 2023 which is the newest version offered to me on the Google Play Store at the moment I write this.
I had Webview Implementation set to Android System Webview. To test I installed Google Chrome and set webview to Google Chrome. But it still crashes.
You could sideload the apk if available on a other source. Same for Webview. If you say chrome webview doesnt change anything, than this might be not related to the Webview omponent of Android. Thanks for trying.
Google Play Store offered an update of the Bluetti app but it is still version 2.1.4 and it still crashes trying to scroll on pages like the warranty.
2.1.5 appeared at the Google play store to me yesterday. I updated. It still has the same crash issue unfortunately.
Thats need to be some kind of device issue. I have multiple different Android smartphones here, different brands and OS Versions and they all work fine
same crash on samsung tablet SM-T585, android 8.1.0 with app v2.2.2
app properties tell that android 6.0 is sufficient …
Yeah, still happening here. I stopped reporting it with every version because it does not seem to get fixed.
I want to let you know that I was able to reinstall Android on my phone. I installed Android 13, LineageOS 20.
Bluetti app (2.2.5 now) is still crashing on the warranty page. So whatever the problem is here, it was not Android 9.
Yes, same problem.
The good thing of having Android 13 now is that I can make screen recordings, so that makes things a bit more visual:
App version 2.2.6 now.
@TheQuickFox Thank you so much for the video. The APP development department is already checking the issue and I will let you know if there are any updates.
Can confirm. Happends on many sections of the App where a embeded Webiste is used
It took almost a year but with Bluetti App version 2.3.0 this crash has finally been fixed. @BLUETTI I’m interested in what the problem was.
