After my first camping trip using my Elite 200V power station I decided to charge it up with the Bluetti 350W solar panel that I purchased at the same time. I have to say I am a little frustrated with it (the solar panel). It is much heavier, and more wobbly, and difficult to set up that I anticipated. I have been adjusting and re-adjusting the orientation etc all day on a perfectly sunny SoCal day and have not been able to get more than 265W max, no matter what I do. Following the sun etc. I cannot imagine what it will be like trying to manage trying to position this in a campground instead of my clean backyard!
Any tips?
Hi @theMick72, The performance of solar charging is affected by the weather, so it is necessary to avoid cloud cover and tree shadows. In addition to adjusting the angle to ensure that sunlight shines directly on the solar panels, please also keep the app and firmware up to date, do not use silent charging mode, and select PV as the DC input source.
Moreover, keeping the surface of the solar panels clean is also very helpful.
Normally, camping sites are more open and have better lighting conditions. Wish you a pleasant trip in advance!
