Bizarre behavior

AC500 and 6 B300s.
This has happened 4 times now, and I can’t explain it.

I have a window A/C next to my AC500 and batteries. Four times now when I leaned in to adjust the A/C air vent, I touched the front right corner of one of the batteries and the whole system when down. The green light was blinking and there’s no power from it’s AC outlets. Each time I then have to unplug all my panels and wall outlet to turn the AC500 off and back on, (it won’t let you turn it off if there’s power coming in.)
.

It just doesn’t make any sense. The battery case is not metal so I can’t imagine a static charge from me did this, plus I didn’t feel any kind of spark. I didn’t put a whole lot of pressure on the corner of the case; it was more for keeping my balance ( have to lean in over the battery stack and some boxes.)
.

The first few times I had to think it was just a fluke, but now, after 4 times, I don’t know what to think. Can the battery case get a static charge from me (without me feeling it), and cause the whole system to go down?
.

UPDATE: And it just happened again. I touched the corner of the battery case while I was plugging my solar panels back in.

I am surprised that touching the case would do anything. How hard are you touching it? If you touch it super lightly, does it do anything?

Can you check that your battery cables are inserted really well and locked? I have AC300 connected to 2xB300 and have seen it totally shut down when I bumped into it because the battery cables are not locked and got disconnected. They have to be connected really well.

Hi @St8kout, We have never received such feedback before. This does not seem to be related to static electricity.
Thanks to @snowstorm for the analysis; we believe this might be caused by a relatively heavy impact leading to poor contact.
Please ensure that the cable is plugged in tightly and locked, and avoid any impacts.
