AC500 Current Maximum

I am a novice owner of an AC500. I have read that when charging from solar panels the essential thing to make sure of is that the voltage does not go over 150V, but the current is not a real issue because the controller will keep the input at 15 amps. Is this correct, or do I need to ensure that the current does not exceed 15 amps? Thanks for any help!

You are correct. The AC500 is the “load” receiving that power and it limits the input current to 15 A. You can supply more than 15 A and the AC500 will not take it in. But most solar energy systems have excess panel power to cover shading from clouds and the Sun angle changes. So you are safe.

Thanks much. I appreciate your help.
