AC vs EB series. What’s the theme?

So, I have an AC300 B300 on order and my EB70 just arrived. Makes me wonder, why are there two different series? What’s the difference between them? I though AC is larger then EB but that isn’t true as there are smaller AC units too. They seem to have similar functionality.

So folks, what’s the difference in vision behind these two series?

The information I have seen is that two different design entities are responsbile for the EB and AC series and they are marketed to different users. I myself haven’t seen and real differences.
