200 V2 : auto power off?

Hi @jurgen, We have attached an operation video for your reference. Please click the link to watch it. Could you follow our steps to enable Sleep mode?

If it doesn’t work, please also shoot a video showing your operation steps, and we will further confirm the situation.

@BLUETTI_CARE
Hi, yes this does work as shown in de video, but that is not the issue.
After te latest BMS update the device does not ever enter sleep mode by itself.
It just stays on with no in or outputs connected and with AC en DC turned off.
It used to turn of a minute after not being used.
Even when sleep mode is disabled it will not turn of, is this by design?

The manual states: “• If there is no DC or AC output for over one minute, the Elite 200 V2 automatically
powers off.”
Since the lastest BMS update it does not do this.
IOT v8024.11
ARM v2189.05
DSP v2188.02
BMS v1081.02

Ah thanks, oh well. It’s surprising that the sleep mode power consumption is that high, since that’s almost as much as the power drain of the DC output converter. At that point, why bother with the pushbutton to turn the DC output on and off?

I can understand the DC converter taking power since it can convert up to 300+ watts counting the two USB PD ports and the 12V port. Shutting it off should save lots of power though. I remember thinking it might be good to have a minimal setting for the converter, where only the USB-ports were powered (5 watts max total output). That would allow running a low powered device like an environmental monitor or security camera 24/7 without a big drain.

Maybe the E100v3 (when that happens) can address this issue and decrease the sleep power consumption. It’s not much different from a mobile phone on standby after all.
Another possibility is to have a wired interface that allows turning the 100v2 on and off.

Despite some grumbles I’m pretty happy with my 100v2 and I like it’s portability. I don’t plan to get a bigger unit (200v2 or Apex 300) anytime soon. Never say never of course.

@BLUETTI_CARE
hi, any updates on this issue?
Is the missing auto power off, by design?
regards

Hi @jurgen, Thank you for the update. We don’t think this is normal.
Could you record a video and share the link with us?
Then our technical department will further analyze this matter.

Hi @paulr, Thank you for sharing your opinion.
We have indeed been working hard to reduce the power consumption in sleep mode, and we hope to achieve this goal in the future.

We are glad to hear that you are satisfied with the performance of the Elite 100 V2. This model is indeed very popular.

Hey @BLUETTI_CARE , I have an elite 200 V2 as well. I have updated all firmware, but the sleep mode option is not there. I do see that my latest updates are older than those in the images.

Hey @BLUETTI_CARE, today, my firmware update included the sleep mode. Thank you. I will put it into action and see how it does.

Hi @Chall63, thank you for getting in touch with us.
We are confident that the new firmware will work effectively, and we look forward to your testing results.

If you need further assistance during the testing process or have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time. We will be ready to provide support promptly.
