Good Day Everyone
I did a bit of research and found out the B230 battery, is not compatible with the B300 battery and (the AC300 power station). Which means, since I currently own an AC200max if I purchase 2 (B230 batteries) and someday upgrade to the AC300 my batteries would not work.
Or if one battery is on sale while I have a different one, I can’t use both of them together. So I was wondering, why is this the case and can it be fixed with a firmware update. (I just thought since it’s 2 batteries made by the same manufacturer they’d be able to work just fine together)
I’m currently in a situation where, the B230 is about 60% off (on sale) at a particular store, but I’m afraid if I buy them, I’m locking myself into corner in terms of future upgrade paths, while the B300 is still a bit expensive in my country future-proofing is also costly.
Kind Regards
Hi @niotumi, Yes, the AC300 is not compatible with the B230. There is no new firmware that can resolve this issue.
From the design perspective, the AC200MAX and B230 are the best match, the AC300 and B300 are the best match, and the AC500 and B300S are the best match. The new batteries also reflect advancements in battery technology.
We recommend that you set up two battery systems: one AC300+B300 for regular use and one AC200MAX+B230 as a backup, allowing you to switch between them as needed.
Additionally, you can use them to power different household appliances separately, avoiding frequent movement.
Moreover, you can also use the B230 independently, as it can charge and discharge on its own.

Thank you so much for the reply.
I wish it were possible to mix and match, but I will look into the suggestions given.
I use my AC200max as a daily-driver for my home office so I will have to figure out, what the best option will be for the long run since my home office is the only part of the house going off-grid.
Kind Regards
