Hi there brains trust:
I purchased the BLUETTI Charger 1 so that I could charge my AC200P in the car from something other than my cigarette lighter. But in all of my reconfigurations and modifications so far, I repurposed the XT90/MC4 cable because I needed an Anderson plug.
The Charger 1 comes with an output to MC4. When looking on the Bluetti site, I can see that the XT90/MC4 cable is out of stock, but there is an DC7909/MC4 cable available (of course, not for the AC200P, but available to order none the less).
Here is what I sorta know. There are two charging inputs. One is a Aviation socket and one is a DC7909. The cigarette lighter cable terminates in a XT90, which plugs into the XT90 → Aviation cable.
The AC power brick plugs into the DC7909.
I have no idea why there are two inputs and when to use which.
So here’s my question: Do I need to plug the output of the Charger 1 (MC4) into a MC4 → XT90 cable, which then plugs into the XT90 → Aviation Plug input?
Or can I order an MC4/DC7909 cable (Solar charging cable) so that I go from Charger 1/MC4 output to the MC4 → DC7909, and plug that into where the AC charger plugs in?
I really wish these inputs would be documented so that I know what is what. And that there’s some consistency. I have a feeling that the reason why the MC4 → XT90 is out of stock is because it is superseded by the MC4 → DC7909 cable, but there are no compatibility charts for me to look up to see which will work where.
Thanks
