Hello all. I’m a rookie to VanLife, just one week in. I bought a converted Ford Transit last month, and it came with two Bluetti EB70 power stations. I apologise if I sound very ‘amateur’ to this, but I’m currently in a dilemma.
Despite it being a cloudy week where I am, there’s been enough light to charge the main EB70 that’s hooked up to solar, a fridge, water, and a USB-C cable. However, last night I woke up and discovered that the EB70 shut off completely. The display was flickering, and when I hooked up another EB70 to jumpstart it, it showed 100%, which was odd, as it was 40% last time I checked. Then, it showed 0, the recharge logo, and after 5 minutes, it shut off.
I can’t help but think I’m responsible for this, as I bought a microwave, plugged it in earlier that day, and although it hovered around 950w in use and worked fine after, here we are. Whether it misread how much charge it had, who knows. It was also on ECO mode, but I’ve managed to switch that off now.
I now have the other EB70 charging at a coffee shop, so the plan now is to hook that up to the other one that’s at 0, and hoping that it’ll be back to normal. But I’m wondering if anyone has come across something similar to me, and whether there’s something else going on?
