hello, i want to ask, i have a B300s battery and i want to use it independently from the AC500 inverter i have, i want to use sola panel to charge it,
is it ok before i use my solar panel to connect it to Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/10 so i can regulate the voltage and get the current to 10A where it meets the specifications of the battery. Anyone done this before?
Hi @sneekpeek, Yes, you can use the SmartSolar MPPT to charge the B300S directly with solar power.
Please note that the B300S accepts a DC input voltage range of 12-60V, so ensure that the input voltage stays within this range.
If the voltage is too high, please adjust it accordingly before proceeding with solar charging.
can i plug the B300s to those solar panels directly?
please advice
545W bifacial P-TYPE DAS SOLAR
Open Circuit Voltage(Voc/V) : 49
Short Circuit Current(Isc/A) : 13.72
Watts :545
and this
JAM54S30
Open Circuit Voltage(Voc/V) : 37
Short Circuit Current(Isc/A) : 14.10
wats 420
and my question is , i want to use a single solar panel,
if im in the Voltage range of 60v , is it ok to pass the watts and amps?
Hi @sneekpeek, Both solar panels are suitable, but please avoid mixing them.
Each B300S should be connected to only one solar panel. It’s fine if the current and power exceed the limits, as long as the VOC remains within 60V.
The solar input voltage of the B300S is VOC 12-60V. Your solar panel must meet the criteria.
- Please confirm the total Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) will be within the voltage range.
- Include MC4 connectors.
Meanwhile please don’t connect different solar panels to use. Because the open circuit voltage is different. The higher one will burn out the lower one.
By the way, please note that if you need my assistance, please @BLUETTI_CARE, otherwise, I might not see your message and be able to help you promptly.
