Using House Panels

Today I hooked up an old house panel (30.2v voc) and was able to charge to 100% my ac180. The panel does 30v so I know i should not connect 2 in series (too close to the 60v maximum) but is it ok to parallel connect two?
I was getting 147W, 21.4V,6.8A from the one panel.

@Colonel_Bell
It is not recommended to connect them in series, as there is a risk of overvoltage. They can be connected in parallel, where the open circuit voltage remains the same, but the solar input will be limited to 10A.

So it’s no problem that they will exceed 10A in total? I don’t fully understand electricity :-)

No, that isn’t any problem, your panels only supply as much current as the consumer (your ACxx or similar) draws.
A 60W light bulb doesn’t light up at 2000W just because the socket could supply it.

The internal resistance of the consumer (charge controller of the ACxx) determines how much current can flow. It will limit the current if it gets too high.
