There is a user on Reddit with a Bluetti AC2A powerstation that has an empty battery and fails to accept a charge. User seems to have trouble to get a repair under warranty arranged. As far as I know, the AC2A should still be covered by warranty and the BMS should have protected from an over-discharged state.
Customer support advised to buy solar panels but the user is not willing to pay for the additional cost and imo should not need to pay extra to have his/her unit restored to a state where it charges again.
@BLUETTI_CARE Can you check if this user can get warranty service to get this unit working again? It would be a waste for the environment and the user’s money if this power station would need to be recycled.
I’m not a Reddit user, but please tell them to pick up a car charger cable and try that. What it needs to wake up is low wattage 12V DC input. It was dumb of Bluetti not to include a car charger cable but typically they will either include that OR a solar cable with the smaller units. They should include both. That said, it’s $20 and the person should have one on hand anyway. They should make every effort to get it working again using this method before they try to claim the warranty. Leaving the battery discharged for a period of time is misuse. Amazon.com: BLUETTI Car Charging Cable, Car Port to XT60, Compatible with Power Station AC2A, AC70, EB55 : Cell Phones & Accessories
Surely the person in question should be on this forum for any questions if they have completely drained the batterie they will need to use a 12v car cable available from Bluetti or other retailer’s it could take some time to get the battery back to 1% charging form the car once they get it to that they would be able to charge from the mains
Hi @TheQuickFox, We deeply appreciate your attention and reminder regarding this issue.
It seems that the AC2A has been excessively discharged and requires slow DC charging to wake it up.
We will assist this customer in finding the correct car charging cable and completing the charging process to wake up the AC2A. Rest assured, we will continue to follow up on this matter.
Nice to hear. And I can see that Bluetti customer service has been significantly improved since I joined in the end of 2022. Back then, many customers complained about very long delivery times and support that could not be reached and refused to help to a point where it stared to hurt your brand image.
While there is still room for improvement, I absolutely see a lot more dedication towards quality after sales and warranty service this year. I see much better response times here on the forums and I see far more cases where you as company take ownership of the problems that customers face and provide real solutions.
I fortunately never had any problems that required service with my Bluetti products but with € 5000 invested into your products intended as long term investment I’m happy to see the noticeable improvements in customer service.
Hi @TheQuickFox, Thank you for your share. Your encouragement is the driving force behind our progress.
We have always been eager to earn our customers’ recognition and have been working hard toward that goal.
We also tried replying to stephscheersandjeers’ post, hoping to get in touch and gather specific information to arrange after-sales service for them. However, we still haven’t received a response.
We truly appreciate your attention to this matter. Your kind assistance makes the whole forum feel warmer.
