I’m traveling with an AC200MAX and wondering if there is any potential problem with leaving the unit in my vehicle overnight in below freezing temperatures if it is turned off? I have seen the temperature range for using/operating the unit, but not exactly storage temperature needs.
From the manual:
Charge Temperature 0-40℃ (32-104 ℉ )
Discharge Temperature -20-40℃ (-4-104 ℉ )
Storage temperature 0-45℃ (32-113 ℉ ) (Taken from the AC200P manual)
Be aware that there should be no condensation. So avoid storing it in a vehicle that is moist inside. When the temperature drops the moist air can condensate on surfaces including inside the device. If the air is moist inside your vehicle it is recommended to run the A/C for some time before leaving the vehicle. The A/C does not only cool the air but it also removes moisture from the air. (Therefore you can also put the A/C on + heating to keep a comfortable temperature in winter while also removing moisture from the air)
I would store the unit indoors when possible, also because of risk of theft. But Bluetti allows a discharge temperature of -20 at lowest so I would not see why storing it at this temperature would be a problem. Again: if there is no risk of condensation. In general: Electronics age faster when they are subjected to large changes in temperature and humidity. But when on a camping trip temperature changes are part of the deal. But if you’re back home, I recommend to take the unit back into your house instead of leaving it in your vehicle.
