Suggestion for Astrophotography and the AC200L

I would love to see a astrophotography capable version of the AC200L with a 12V 30amp outlet in place of the 12v 10amp cigarette lighter port. When the dew heaters spin up on my rig, 10 amps just does not cut the mustard. Perhaps a AC200ASTRO? Looks perfect otherwise for everything else we do on a 2-5 day outing. With that, I can leave the AC500 at home!

@AstroTim Welcome to the forum!
Do you mean to upgrade a 12V 30amp outlet to charge your astrophotograph-device?

I mean offer a version of the AC200L with a 12V 30amp aviation outlet like the AC 500 and AC300 have. My gear will draw more than 10amps when it is cold, and I want to run more than one telescope at a time and still use the AC 30amp outlet for the RV. The only 2 Bluetti offerings that have everything I want are the AC500 and AC300. The AC200L with a 12V 30amp outlet in place of or in addition to the cigarette lighter port would be perfect for us astro nerds!

I’ve never used the outlet, but the AC200MAX has a 12V 30 amp. It also has a AC 30amp outlet for an RV.

Yes, I looked at the 200MAX, but the web site says it has been discontinued.

Oops - didn’t realize that.

Thanks for the additions, I’ve fed back to the team. :handshake:

I would think for a 12v ONLY application, why not just use a 12v Lithium battery?

You are correct. If we were just running one scope, a 12v battery would sufice. Some people do just that. At some of the astro parties there is no power at all and we also run multiple scopes with dew heaters as well as laptops. We also have to power an RV so the AC200l has everything I need except the 12v 30 amp.

Looks like you could use a Bluetti instead of those 10-15kg of gym dumbells :innocent:

I agree but my AC500 absolutely will not fit in the sling!
