I have an AC500 and 4 B300K batteries. To keep it simple, I made 2 stacks of 2 B300K batteries, and each set/stack of 2 B300K batteries is plugged into one of the 2 ports that take the P150D cable end. In other words, 2 batteries to one input port. There are only 4 input ports: 2 P150D ports, 1 AC 120 volt input and 1 PV/solar input. I just purchased a SolarX 4K so I can increase my voltage from my solar panels. Problem is this: Where do I plug in the Solar X? The only two DC P150D inputs are taken with 2 B300Ks each. Some videos on YouTube appear to have plugged in the SolarX down into a B300K battery. I am afraid this would throw the batteries out of balance. Curious where I am supposed to plug it into an AC500.
You can plug it into either of the second ports of second B300K’s in your stacks. Each B300K has 2 connection ports so one goes to the previous battery or AC500 and one is spare for the next battery or addon. You won’t be able to see the solar generated on the AC500 but you will be able to see it in the App.
After waking up with a clear head and some sleep, seems like I could just use the AC500 solar port input I am using now that comes from the panels, as that is essentially what is occurring when you run it through a charge controller. In other words, unplug the present solar input that is not connected to the SolarX and then run the same PV input into the SolarX and plug the SolarX into the AC500 using the XT60 adapter cable. Seems simple enough.
Also, thanx for the Reply. I was watching some YouTube hook-ups and it looked like he did that. The more ways something will work, the merrier.
