Hi all. So, I got my previous problem solved with the Solar X 4K and everything was fine, after updating the software on everything; Solar X 4K, Apex300, 3- B300k, 1 B500k and a B300. No problems for a few weeks, then yesterday, no solar input in the morning and no error code. The same thing happened this morning. I just unplug the Solar X 4k from the battery and plug it back in and it starts charging. This isn’t a big deal, as long as I’m here, but I’m planning on taking a trip and that won’t work for me to run out of power in a couple of days and thaw out the freezer. Anyone have an idea why it’s not charging in the morning?
Hi @Clay1
Did you try to restart the whole setup after the update? Maybe its some kind of communication issue, check that all cables are connected in locked.
greetings
Erik
Hi Eric and thanks for the reply. The system ran flawlessly for a few weeks and now not. Nothing has changed, nothing has been moved and this morning it didn’t work again, but unplugging and replugging in the SolarX4K from the battery didn’t fix the problem this morning, I also had to flip the breaker off and on, on the solar input, in order to get it working agin this morning. I will try restarting the whole system. Thanks again, Eric.
A FEW MOMENTS LATER… Ok, I turned everything off for a couple of minutes. I guess we will see what happens in the morning.
Well, this morning was worse. I had to disconnect the battery and the solar twice in order to get the Solar X4K to start changing this morning. I’m not sure what to do next. Maybe go back to Amazon and start a case with them. Anyway, thanks Eric, for the idea.
It took three times unplugging the battery connection to get the Solar X 4K running this morning. The past few mornings it worked like it was supposed to. So, I guess I will just keep telling you all how it works.
Just a thought about restarting the SolarX charging – in the settings for the SolarX (via the Apex300 display in the Bluetti app) there is a “switch” to turn solar charging off and on again. Try toggling that off and wait for a few seconds at least before turning it back on again. I have had a few times where mine stopped charging as well, and I’ve done that to start it again. An advantage is that you can do it remotely.
In my case this has been associated with the issue of the AC output turning off when solar input gets the system to 100%. I have an update that others have had success with in correcting that problem, so I am hoping both issues will be resolved, but it has only been a few days so far since getting that update.
@BLUETTI_CARE
Thanks for the Reply Hnymann. I’ve had the A/C output turn off too, after reaching 100% state of charge. I will try your app trick, but does it have to be on wifi or can you do it in Bluetooth too? I can’t seem to find it in Bluetooth mode and my wifi is really weak in that part of the house. I may have to get a repeater. It’s strange how after updating the software on everything, a few weeks ago, it worked perfect, then all the sudden not.
Let me know if that update works for you and thanks again.
Since the app can use either bluetooth or wifi then this absolutely works via bluetooth (I have used it both ways). Either way you need to access the SolarX settings via the Apex300’s connection. ![]()
For your reference, and maybe you will need to look into this update as well, here is the link to the discussion of the AC turning off issue: Apex300 AC Output Shutoff.
Thanks Hnymann, I found it and I will try it next time and look up that update as well. Thanks again.
Hi @hnymann, thank you for your sharing – we find this very insightful.
In addition, we have also applied to push the latest DSP firmware to your SolarX 4K. This may take about one day. Please test it again after the upgrade tomorrow, as we believe the new firmware will deliver better performance.
Thank you, I will check for that update!
Hello @BLUETTI_CARE ,
So far I have not seen any update for my SolarX. I am attaching the current versions on mine, in case I happen to be at the latest.
Also, I had the no-charging issue happen again today, and I had to turn the charging toggle off and on again to restart it. I would definitely love to see if the update fixes that.
Thank you!
Hi @hnymann, that’s a bit strange, but no worries—we’ve applied to push it again.
This will take one business day, so please try upgrading next Monday.
Hello again, @BLUETTI_CARE ,
Unfortunately that update for my SolarX 4K is still not available on my system. So, just to make sure all information is correct I will provide the system serial numbers below.
Apex 300 SN: AP3002509000069149
SolarX 4K SN: 2528000741617
I hope to see that update soon.
Thank you!
I do not see this, how do you do this ?
Open the Bluetti app, select your Apex 300, and right below the power / shutdown icon you will see a box labeled “Components”. Tap on that icon and you will open a display showing your “SolarX 4K” as a button. Tap on that button, and it will display SolarX 4K again, showing the serial number and the current status. At the top of the app will be a small button with three dots, tap that, then click “Settings”. The top box labelled “Solar” is the switch to turn the solar charging off or on. ![]()
Hi @hnymann, we have pushed DSP v9092.11. Could you please confirm whether you have received it?
We have now applied to push it again. Please upgrade tomorrow. After upgrading, contact us, and we will proceed to push the second new firmware.
@BLUETTI_CARE,
Unfortunately the update is still not showing up on my Solar X. Might there be something I am doing wrong to check? I have been going through the app, to my Apex 300, then to components, next to the SolarX 4K, then using the three-dot menu to Upgrade, and it tells me I am up to date.
Hi @Clay1,
I am having the same issue. My system consists of 2-APEX300 with HubA1 & 8 batteries. 2-B300K (for each APEX300) and 2-B300 (for each APEX3000). My two SolarX 4K’s charge via P090 DC charging cable conected to B300K batteries. This is how I configured my batteries: APEX300 - B300K - B300 - B300 - B300K. I have been working with Bluetti tech support since October on various SolarX 4K issues. They suggested that the SolarX 4K’s connect directly to the B300K battery for better results. They also pushed DSP v9092.12 on February 7th. Since October I have had to reset one SOLARX 4K seven times and the other unit six times (never both units on the same day) and unfortunately, like you, the issue is happening more frequently (five times in the last six days). All items are controlled from the HubA1 app rather than individually, and the SolarX 4K’s are in the “Components” section of the app . However, two times in the last week both SolarX 4K units disconnected (on different days) from the HubA1 app and then showed up individually in the app under “All Devices” with the following errors: Charging Mode Error SO13 & Soft Start Activation Failure RO52. After consulting Bluetti tech support, I was told that the SO13 error is corrected by enabling the “Battery Connection Cable” setting in the app to PO90A rather than Other/CA90. I did this during my initial set up, and to confirm I opened the app to make sure and it was correct; thus, I have no idea what triggered the error and it happened on both units. To clear the error I turned off my solar disconnect switch, unplugged the DC charging cable from the SolarX 4K to the B300K battery, plugged the charging cable back into the B300K, turned the solar switch back on, and after about 10 seconds the SolarX 4K was functioning properly. Still waiting for a response on the RO52 error. I hope this helps others & hopefully Bluetti can resolve this issue soon with a firmware update. For those interested, my current firmware is IOT v8029.07 & DSP v9092.12.
