Hi all, very new Bluetti owner here. Have just been trying out the solar charging capability and I noticed that while my 200W solar panels (Bluetti) were connected and receiving between 50-70w the actual battery percentage decreased over about 90 minutes. I am a bit concerned as I’m not sure why that would’ve happened.
I’d welcome any advice about how to get the best out of my solar charging capability. I had the panels at the best angle I could, and I had the correct PV input selected.
Hi @CloudyBoy, We’d like to understand more details about the issue. Which Bluetti model are you using?
We consider that you might be charging and discharging at the same time. If your load power exceeds the solar charging power, the device may gradually reduce its SOC rather than increase it. Could you confirm the power rating of your load device? Additionally, the machine requires some power for its own operation.
Hi care team, I’m using the EB200P model with PV200 Solar Panel. I can confirm that I have zero watts output while solar charging. I figured that the unit would use a small amount of power, but seems strange that I’m net negative even with a lowly 50w coming in.
I believe the power rating is 2048Wh. Please advise if that’s not the figure you require.
Hi @CloudyBoy, This is indeed quite strange. Could you please record a video of the solar charging process, showing the input and output power, and upload it to a cloud drive, then share the link with us? This will help us troubleshoot the issue.
Additionally, please note that due to the weekend holiday, we will respond to your message on Monday.
