With the new APEX300 there is a short cable option for stacking batteries. Will there be a short cable option for the B300 / B300S cables to the AC300 and AC500? Stacking would be so much nicer if we could get short cables for the B300S to AC500/AC300. Anyone else want this?
Thank you for your feedback! The short circuit feature on our Apex 300 was actually implemented based on user feedback. We will continue to consider improvements in the future.
@Austin814 something like this??
This cable is only compatible between either an Apex 300 and a B300K battery or between a B300K battery and another B300K battery.
If you have something like an AC200L, AC300 or AC500 with 2x B300K batteries then this cable can be used between the two batteries assuming they are stacked, but it can’t be used between a battery and the head unit because the AC200L, AC300, and AC500 have the battery ports in a different place as compared to where it is on Apex 300.
The cable does not line up with the connectors on any other devices, so you can’t use it with a B300, B300S, B230, or B210 battery.
And unfortunately it currently looks out of stock here in US but they’ll be more coming soon!!
I would love short cables for my stacked B300S batteries. Thank you for posting this question.
Yes something LIKE that, but one that fits the AC300/500 and B300 / B300S. There is no need to have long cables when the units are meant to stack vertically.
In addition to more choices for short cables, I could also make use of a longer cable, or an extender, to allow more options when positioning my equipment. For example, placing an AC200L on top of a B300K with both facing forward.
You have not understood the question. It is referring to shorter cables, not “short circuit”. Please respond again.
Technically, the short circuit name is correct because there is a circuit between the two connected items and a shorter wire does complete a shorter circuit.
The issue exists that a “short circuit” is named when a power source supplies energy through a connection with no load or zero resistance. And that is most common when the supply terminals are connected directly to each other, making that the shortest possible circuit.
Photovoltaic panels do not store energy. They are electrical energy pumps, so one of their specifications is Isc, or the maximun amount of current in a short circuit connection (positive to negative) with zero load.
So a short circuit is not a bad term, but a definition for a zero resistance circuit, be it bad for stored energy sources but good for energy pumps and less wire between electrical devices.
I see that this special shorter expansion cable has the flat side of the connectors tilted 90 degrees since the B300K expansion ports are also tilted, unlike the AC300, AC500, B300, and B300S which have the flat side vertical toward the top with tbe slide lock. I also see that the CA90 slide lock is also sideways. But I expect Bluetti to design and built new P090A and P150A cables with a right angle connector in the near future.
Edit: If the B300 or B300S batteres are placed side to side, not stacked, then this CA90 cable might work.
I apologize for the confusion in my previous reply. What I meant to say is that the short cable compatible with the Apex 300 was a request from users that we have implemented. Currently, there are no short cables compatible with the AC300 and AC500, but we will consider developing them in the future.
