Running my RV off of the apex300 and bk500

Greetings,

I am in need of some help. I will admit, I am. new to the bluetti family and I do not understand much about power and I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. I have a class A motorhome that runs off of 50amps. I bought the bluetti apex300 and a bk500 expension battery. My goal would be to power my 5Oamp RV when I can not connect to shore power or run the generator. It is my understanding that I should be able to take my 50amp cord, plug it into the apex300 and I should be good to go. However, I am not getting power. Both the apex300 and bk500 are fully charged. I did do the firmware update as well as system update. When I turn on the AC power button, I hear the transfer case click but then I get system fault warning on the apex300. I have researched YouTube video’s like crazy and I just can’t find anything that could help me. I am hoping to reach someone here who has experience with this and hopefully walk me through it. Thank you!

Hi there, thanks for reaching out! To help you better, could you please let us know the approximate power consumption of your RV?

Since many Class A motorhomes have different electrical configurations, it would help a lot if you could share:

  • The total wattage your RV normally draws when plugged into shore power
  • Whether you try to power the entire RV, or only specific appliances
  • If you know the RV’s “shore power” rating (50A / 30A) and the typical watt usage
  • Any high-wattage devices running (AC, microwave, heater, fridge, etc.)

This information will help us determine whether the Apex 300 can support your setup or if a higher-power Bluetti model is needed.
Thank you!
