Recurring E006 error Elite 100V2

Has anyone else gotten this recurring error?
I am using it as a standard UPS, not plugged into any sub-panel as the error refers to.
Further, I smelt a fairly strong “electrical smell” when using this thing for the first couple times - that coincided with the error message.

I have followed the resolution instructions the app gives me, but no luck - feel a litte worried keeping this thing in my house.

I would pay close attention to the specific type of smell. Smells like burning rubber NOT good. Smells like new box of crayons or new pair of shoes, just normal offgassing. New units will outgas as electronic components are coated with protective layers to prevent corrosion. When you use them for the first time it is very common to smell this offgassing.
