Question New Apex300 owner Whole Home

So have my Apex300 on order and have some questions as first time setting up system for whole home backup.
10amp zones (transfer switches) each handling a standard 110v 10amp circut.from my main breaker box. It has an L14-30 plug on it to hook to (which I have setup for my gas generator cord currently).

So I purchased the 50amp power cord for the Apex300 - so that I assume I would feed 220V from my main breaker into the Apex300.

Then would I want to run from the 30amp plug on the Apex300 into my transfer switch (I assume I shouldn’t use the 50amp output from plug from the Apex. Is 220volt in from main and 110volt on the 30amp from Apex300 correct and will work?

One other question - I know on the front 1 bank of outlets is 0 ms UPS and the other 20ms UPS. But the 0 ms is when actually running off the battery and then the battery being charged at same time.

If I’m running pass through power with 30amp 220 coming in and 30amp 220 going out - I assume then the UPS function if power drops off the 30amp 220 coming in in would be the 20ms UPS.

@cbl1 Hi Chris, Thank you for being one of the first Apex 300 backers!

  1. Correct, no issues—you can input 220V and output 110V.
  2. With 220V input and 220V output, the switching time is 0ms.
