I got this 2nd Bluetti device, I have the AC 200 L also and AC2A. I want this for UPS, for my CPAP medical device to use as UPS. I Have had it for 2 weeks. Several times at night while using CPAP, which is plugged into the AC output in the middle of the night the EB3A just shuts off. My CPAP quits and I then wake up struggling for air. I hit the AC button 2 times again and it comes back on. Today I tested the EB3A during the day by unplugging the CPAP, plugging in a light, then leaving it on and checking it every so often. About 6 hours later the bluetti shut off and of course, the light was out. I tried an older clock—the same results. I have left the EB3A with a load on it and plugged it into the AC house current and it shuts off. Wondering if this is a Bluetti problem. I still have a week and a half to sort out this problem and I can return it through AMAZON. Thanks for any help I can get. Regards
I would suggest checking that eco mode is turned off. If your display shows ECO it’s on.
What is you CPAP power load? (Watts)
Thank you SOOOO much for your reply. The ECO mode was on and I used the App to take it off the screen. Last night worked great. Can’t thank you enough. I haven’t checked the watt load on the CPAP. I have to plug it into a meter that can tell me. I will do that soon. But I believe it to be fairly low. Again thanks. Could you also tell me why the machine inn the ECO mode shuts off. I am curious. It is geat having people such as yourself to help novices such as mysellf. All this Tech is a brain freeze for me. I am managing but bairly since I am almost 80. Again thanks. Ct
If you read the manual, it explains Eco mode. The Watts required varies with each device. However, copied from the AC2A user manual;
"In this mode, if the AC power output falls below or remains at a certain level for a set
period of time, the AC power will automatically turn off." The manual for this device states that being 15W.
This also applies for DC loads.
The other thing that can cause Eco mode to kick in is something that cycles on & off and is off longer than the preset time limit. Best advice, leave Eco mode off on all power stations unless you a. need it & b. understand the implications of turning it on.
BTW I’m 74, but have worked around computers and tech since 1972.
Hi @Vsadnik, I’m glad to hear that the issue has been resolved.
Thank you to @Mandp for the detailed explanation. Yes, ECO mode is an energy-saving feature that automatically turns off AC or DC output when there is no load or a small load to conserve power. Customers can enable or disable ECO mode through the Bluetti app.
