How do I power down the Bluetti EB70S completely? I want to charge it to 100% then leave it sitting until there is a power outage. But each time I do this and plug it in, weeks later, it is dead? Nothing is plugged into it. No cables at all. Can someone help me? I’m sure it’s something simple I am overlooking.
Hello! The machine automatically shuts down after one minute without input or output.
Regarding the issue of your device automatically shutting down due to fast discharge without input or output, please refer to the following suggestions:
- Fast Discharge: Please first calculate whether the discharge time is reasonable. The customer may not have considered DOD (Depth of Discharge), efficiency, and self-consumption of the device. The calculation formula is:
discharging time=capacity×0.9×0.9load power+self-consumption\text{discharging time} = \frac{\text{capacity} \times 0.9 \times 0.9}{\text{load power} + \text{self-consumption}}discharging time=load power+self-consumptioncapacity×0.9×0.9
For example, if the EB70 AC powers a 10W light bulb:
estimated discharging time=716 Wh×0.9×0.910 W+16.5 W≈22 hours\text{estimated discharging time} = \frac{716 , \text{Wh} \times 0.9 \times 0.9}{10 , \text{W} + 16.5 , \text{W}} \approx 22 , \text{hours}estimated discharging time=10W+16.5W716Wh×0.9×0.9≈22hours
- Charge and Discharge Cycle: If the discharge time is unreasonable or there are power drops, please perform a charge and discharge cycle. Discharge the battery to 0%, then fully charge it without connecting any load during the charging process.
- Turn Off AC and DC: It is recommended to turn off AC and DC when not connecting load devices.
- Ambient Temperature: If you are in winter or a cold environment, please check the ambient temperature. The battery discharge capacity will significantly decrease when the cell temperature is between -20°C and 0°C.
If the above methods do not resolve the issue, please provide return information so we can process a return or exchange.
Thank you for your cooperation!
