Plugged AC70P to itself

Dear community,
Just accidentally was confused with many power cords and plugged AC70P to itself (AC on). Quickly noticed it and unplugged.
Is it possible to damage something with that? Output was 12w on screen I think.
I assume there should be protection for this occasions.

I don’t know how it is for Bluetti but for sine wave UPS units: If you plug it in to itself it will quickly switch to battery and back.

  1. UPS runs off battery.
  2. UPS battery+inverter powers UPS.
  3. UPS detects good AC power and switches to AC pass-through.
  4. Power fails immediately fails because the only thing that was powering the UPS was the inverter.
  5. Back to 1

This will not immediately hurt the UPS but the rapid switching will cause highly accelerated wear if you leave it like that. So a few seconds is fine, just like regular unstable power. A few hours is bad for the unit. Don’t do it again.

It won’t damage the machine, don’t worry.

Hi denpr, generally, power stations like the AC70P have built-in protections against such issues. However, it’s always best to check the user manual or contact customer support to be sure. If the unit seems to be functioning normally now, you likely avoided any damage.
