I would like to put switches on my panel wires as I cannot fully shut off the inverters with solar hooked up to them. seems the NEC requires both the positive and negative wires to be disconnected if using a switch. but what size breaker should be used??? The inverters are Bluetti AC500. the panels are Renogy 320 watt.
@oldtoad I recommend purchasing a PV disconnect switch on Amazon. These circuit breakers are designed to handle sufficient voltage, so just make sure the breaker’s current rating is higher than the solar panel’s rated current, and you’ll be good.

There a lot of available switches. On Amazon you can search “solar switch” or “PV disconnect”. I’ve bought a number of them. Here’s an example that happens to be cheap right now.

I have 2 x 200w panels in my garden that I use to charge the ac180. Is it bad to disconnect the bullet plug DC charger cable if the panels are charging? I understand the mc4 connectors don’t like it but if I pull the bullet really quickly?
