Newbe AC500 questions please?

Hi all,
Some newbe questions please, help would be much appreciated.

using the Bluetti AC500,
how would I begin to go about connecting it to the distribution board?
I presume I would need some accessory/s from bluetti, but not sure what I should get?
I live in South Africa where we use 230V.
I am also considering buying a solar panel or 2, Bluetti PV420.
How would I go about connecting them to the AC500 to bring in as much power depending on the weather?
What sort of cables/connectors would I need?

Help/advise would be much appreciated.

i let my electrician install something like this:

After that i can switch between normal power from the grid and on the emergency side is a SchuKo Plug which i just plug into my EP500. The thing you need to be aware of is that its only single phase. So some devices may not work.

Be aware of the automatic switches. They might be have side effects you want to avoid such as “no clear 0 position”.

Hi @HeathroX

The “0” Position means that you dont connect to emergerncy power or the public grid. Its complety off. Its really important that before you switch to one of the modes, that there is a real cut between both. These automatic switches cant really provide that and can lead to things you really dont want to happen :slight_smile:
