Yes agreed. This should work with existing power stations at least the ones that already have expansion ports and all the existing expansion batteries and is a big mistake to not do that in my opinion . This is just going to annoy everyone who has one of the incompatible products and when they go to buy a balcony system they might as well just buy a competitors product.
Hello, I can understand that Bluetti initially delivers a complete solution (simple battery without internal inverter + external grid tie inverter and panel to meet the “plug and play” needs of users. I hope that Bluetti will subsequently think about upgrade kit solutions for AC200max owners and others, via the expansion port. It would be a huge disappointment if this upgrade kit was not put in place because Bluetti in interviews in June said that it was compatible with different type of batteries… (and if this is the case, I won’t hide from you that I will have to do the reverse engineering of this expansion port of the AC200max to connect my own grid tie inverter… which I don’t want… but if necessary…). PS I can’t see if the connection cable from the D100S to the B210 has the same expansion connector as for the AC200max.
Exactly! Waited for a long time until there was a statement from Bluetti that they will offer a device to connect the powerstations to grid. No I waited to buy this.
And suddenly, no word about compatibility anymore!
In the meantime, I added Solarflow system additionally to the Bluettis that I have installed to cover everything that is not working as stand alone system with my AC200Max Bluettis.
So there is also no need to add some additional batteries to the Max anymore.
Also very disappointed to hear that despite the compatibility with existing power stations being promised, it is not there in the final product… I have a feeling this may have something to do with the fact that to be “allowed” by the authorities as allowable in a balcony system, the max capable output must not exceed 800W and this can not be guaranteed obviously with the existing power stations, as they obviously can out put more. From what I hear, if there is an “Austria” or “Germany” mode, then this might be deemed acceptable, at least from an inverter point of view to be compatible with balcony solar.
Anyway, not happy, I bought an AC200Max recently expecting to be able to do this, and now I can’t… I hope it is planned in a future update!
